RJ has an extensive background from several Charleston Restaurants, including The Glass Onion, Carolina’s, FIG and The Ordinary.

Most recently, he headed the kitchen at The Lot, a farm to table restaurant attached to The Pour House on James Island.

A native of North Carolina, RJ has a degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His food influences are characterized by an appreciation for global cuisine rooted in classicism.

RJ joined The Dewberry in 2016 and is now the Chef de Cuisine at their signature restaurant, Henrietta’s, a Southern Brasserie.
