Pastry Chef Heather Hutton was born in upstate New York and moved South at the age of six, embracing a new, exciting Southern cuisine. She attended and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Miami, Florida in 2006 for Baking and Pastry Arts. She went on to work at a four diamond hotel and restaurant in Highlands, North Carolina, the Old Edwards Inn. She learned from five star Chef Johannes Klapdohr and Pastry Chef Larry Brubaker. After moving to Charleston in 2011, she has worked for Tristan Restaurant where she was Assistant Pastry Chef to Amanee Neirouz. She continued to grow with the company to execute desserts as Pastry Sous Chef to 492, Ms.Roses, and Tristan Catering. Heather was also creating desserts as Pastry Chef at Social Food and Wine Bar during this time. She is now currently the Pastry Chef of Edmund’s Oast, where she enjoys the emphasis on local produce.
